2 days northeast Peloponnese Athens

A 2-day motorcycle tour in Northeast Peloponnese, Greece

 Notable spots

Epidavros, Ancient theatre

You’re in the most beautiful open-air, ancient theatre in the world.
A living ancient theatre, a one-of-a-kind archaeological site and the famous Asclepius of antiquity – all within a natural landscape that makes for an ideal beach and culture holiday.
The ancients chose this place to construct the most famous Asclepion, or holistic healing centre. Look around at the grandstand, the seats, the place where the musicians play and the stage from which you can hear the proverbial pin drop and where all eyes are fixed.
The theatre was built with the intention of being a place for patients to have therapeutic fun. And it is an ancient theatre that is still alive today. Since 1955, sensational performances of ancient tragedies have found their natural home here. A Unesco World Heritage Site, it is still a therapy for the body and soul, whether you attend a play or not.

Nafplio

Experience the irresistible charm of Greece’s first capital.
In Nafplio, you’ll encounter a vibrant city-museum with listed architecture and majestic Venetian castles crowning the town.
The famous Bourtzi, Akronafplia and Palamidi castles. A stunning seaport town, consisting of fortresses, neoclassical buildings, old neighbourhoods, wide sidewalks and large squares. A town brimming with life that preserves its legends and entices you into its mystical ambience.
It was the Venetians’ "Naples of the East".

Ancient Corinth & the Acrocorinth Castle

Close to the canal that now divides the Peloponnese from the rest of the mainland, Ancient Corinth dates to the 10th century BC. At its height, it easily competed in terms of wealth and fame with Athens and Thebes, and its fortified acropolis (the Acrocorinth), 1km to the south and dedicated to Aphrodite, was considered one of the most spectacular of antiquity. The towers you can explore today are mostly from Frankish and Venetian times.
